Tate Britain
Enjoy British Art and creativity with display of realist and impressionist painters whose beautifully crafted works engage with complex conceptual ideas. The starting point for their work is a re-examination of the fundamental question of what to paint. As a result the Tate has varied, small-scale paintings and series of compelling self-referential situations, depicting scenarios such as their own production or the space in which they are to be displayed.
Highlights of the Tate Britain include the British Art Lectures with award-winning artists, the Turner collection, as well as interviews with artists and gallery directors talking about their artistic passions.
The younger sister modern gallery: Tate Modern, presents the sixth in a series of displays exploring the whole world. Commonplace objects forcing the viewer to reconsider their perception of them and it’s original function.
