Your day starts by meeting your representative at the station early morning. Time to be confirmed by email after reservation has been completed. Enjoy a very relaxing train journey north to Oxenholme in the spectacular Lake District National Park in a little over 3 hours. On arrival you will be met by a local guide who will take you on a tour of the Lake District. 
Our tour of the Lake District includes a cruise on Lake Coniston, gliding through the waters (for which the area is very famous) against the dramatic backdrop of the District's mountains.
Then on to the picturesque medieval village of Hawkshead, with an enchanting combination of whitewashed houses, its cobbled streets, narrow alleyways overlooked by a 16th Century Church.
We make our way to Hill Top, the inspiration for many of Beatrix Potter's characters. Her home, where she wrote several of her famous stories, remains exactly as she left it and in each room there is something that appears in one of her books and it is a highlight of the visit with Afternoon Tea at the Lindeth Howe Country House, now a hotel. You will also experience many others of the Lake District's most picturesque beauty spots. 
At the end of this scenic unescorted drive through the ancient, popular villages, stone built and blending softly into its mountain background.
